Fundamentals of Great Photography
An 8-week workshop for Radburn residents age 15+
Saturdays, January 10th through February 28th (8 weeks) ~ $280.00
You don’t need a fancy camera to take beautiful photos. You just need the right way of seeing.
This workshop is designed to help you dramatically improve your everyday photography using the camera you already have—your smartphone.
Over 8 Saturdays in January and February, we’ll meet as a small group to explore the essential ingredients of great photography: composition, lighting, and intentional seeing. You’ll learn how to frame what matters, how to use light to your advantage, and how to create images that tell a story instead of just snapping at random.
Each session includes a short lesson, a photo walk around the community, and a friendly group critique to review what we’ve captured. If the weather keeps us indoors, we’ll meet online for a structured critique of images, learn about photography techniques, and sharpen your eye through focused discussion about photography.
This isn’t a tech class. It’s about slowing down, noticing more, and learning how to make better visual decisions with the tool that’s already in your pocket.
Instructor:
Danny Ghitis is an executive coach and former award-winning photojournalist whose work appeared frequently in The New York Times, CNN, and other international publications. He spent over a decade telling visual stories before shifting his focus to coaching leaders on clarity, communication, and decision-making. This workshop brings those two worlds together—clear seeing and intentional action.
