Aquasize Instructor The Aquasize Instructor is responsible for planning and leading safe, engaging, and effective water fitness classes for adult participants of varying ages and fitness levels. This role promotes physical wellness, injury prevention, and community engagement through low-impact aquatic exercise programs conducted in accordance with industry standards and Radburn Association policies.
Camp Counselor positions are available for applicants who are at least 16 years old by June 1. Camp runs weekdays from June 29 through August 7, from 9:15 AM to 12:15 PM, with no camp on July 3. Camp Counselors are responsible for supervising and engaging children in daily camp activities and assisting with off-site trips and weekly evening events, for which availability is required. Limited positions are available for extended lunch/ afternoon program until 1:30 PM. Applicants should indicate interest in extended hours on their application.
The Assistant Swim Coach / Swim Instructor position requires strong swimming skills. Experience teaching children is preferred. Responsibilities include teaching swim lessons to children in Kindergarten through 6th grade and assisting with coaching the Radburn Flying Fish Swim Team. The schedule includes mid-June evening practices until school ends, followed by morning practices Monday through Thursday from 8:30–9:30 AM and 12:00–1:00 PM. Swim meets are held twice weekly in the evenings during July. Additional duties include Summer Camp Swim weekdays from June 29 through July 31, 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM, with no camp on July 3, and Tot Swim for ages 3–5 on Thursdays from 12:00–1:00 PM through August 6. Lifeguard certification is preferred but not required.
The Head Swim Coach / Swim Instructor position is for strong swimmers with coaching or swim team experience who are motivated, organized, and responsible. Responsibilities include representing Radburn at league meetings, coordinating swim league schedules, supervising coaching staff, planning practices, overseeing summer camp swim instruction and Tot Swim lessons, and preparing for the season by organizing equipment, swimsuit fittings, tryouts, and parent meetings. The schedule mirrors the Assistant Swim Coach role, with mid-June evening practices transitioning to morning practices Monday through Thursday, availability required for evening swim meets twice weekly in July, and the county meet during the first week of August. Summer Camp Swim runs weekdays from June 29 through July 31, 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM, with no camp on July 3, and Tot Swim is held Thursdays from 12:00–1:00 PM through August 6.
Gate Guard positions are available to applicants 18 years of age or older. Gate Guards are responsible for managing pool entrance and exit for members and guests, monitoring safety, health, and environmental conditions, and remaining stationed at the gate table at all times. Candidates must be friendly, organized, computer-savvy, and able to multitask while handling frequent interruptions. Availability is required for extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Training will be provided prior to the season.
Assistant Pool Manager positions are available to lifeguards with more than three seasons of experience. Responsibilities include assisting the Pool Manager with daily operations, supervising seasonal staff, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and maintenance standards, and interacting with the public in a courteous and professional manner.
Head Lifeguard positions are available to lifeguards with more than two seasons of experience. Responsibilities include supervising and supporting lifeguard staff, monitoring pool activities and enforcing safety rules, conducting facility safety checks, and coordinating pool and facility maintenance.
Lifeguard positions are available to applicants who are at least 15 years old by May 1. Lifeguards must be responsible, attentive, safety-conscious, and strong swimmers with good decision-making skills. Training and certification or re-certification are available through the Radburn Association, and training cost reimbursement is available for lifeguards who work 150 or more hours during the season.
